In January I thought I had my life in order, goals were laid and a plan for the year in place. Then I received an horrific proclamation and my world was turned inside out. It has taken most of the year for me to work through the grieving process.
When I was in Croatia in the mid90's I recall a village woman stating the women of the area were not able to do any needlework due to their grief from the war. Now I understand how grief strips away the desire to create.
But just as the flowers in spring announce new life, so is the awakening desire to create showing me the rebirth within myself. So, I knit a little, read a little and try to enjoy my changed life.
